Espai Collidores
New "Espai Collidores" at the Serra Tramuntana Heritage Centre in recognition of all the women pickers for their work during the coldest months of the year to preserve the Serra, which is now a World Heritage site. This recognition is for all the women of the picker generation for everything they have contributed and continue to contribute to make this a better world, and specifically to the pickers for being an example of sisterhood before this word was known.
The Consell de Mallorca awarded the pickers the Medal of Honor and Gratitude 2021, in gratitude for their contribution to the domestic economy of many homes with few resources, to the island's economy, to the fight for equality, to our heritage, and to the preservation of the Serra de Tramuntana, which can be found on display in the room. The names of the 352 pickers located by the Consell de Mallorca and an explanatory panel of their history are also included.
The audiovisual project "Collint testimonis" has been carried out in the municipalities of Campanet, Valldemossa, Bunyola, Puigpunyent, Sóller and Fornalutx. The result has been six videos in which Sa Galania has collected the testimonies of 57 olive pickers from the Serra.
